Topography
This 121 square kilometers park is located in Phu Rua district of Loei, one of the coolest provinces of Thailand. Northern part of the park is bordering Laos (Sayabouri province).
Its hills are head waters of many rivers in Loei. The highest peak in the park, Phu Rua, is 1365 meters above sea level. The summit is a good view point to see Huang and Mekong rivers. More than half of Phu Rua mountain is covered with low shrubbery, grasslands and strange looking rock formations. Due to the cool climate the area is rich in orchid species which flower throughout the year. Pha Lom Noi is good point to see the sun rise.
