Sai Thong National Park
Topography
THis 319 square kilometers park is located in Nong Bua Rawe, Thep Satit, Pakdee Chumpon and Nong Bua Daeng districts of Chaiyaphum province. It was declared as a national park on 30Dec 1992. Lying on the Pung Huey mountain range the park contains Yang Glud conservation forest. These are the head waters of several rivers in the region. Dry evergreen forest, Dipterocarp forest and mixed Deciduous forest are found.
Tourist attractions
A couple of waterfalls are good attractions. One called Sai Thong waterfall which has a large pool, is close to the headquarters. Thung Bua Sawan is a field of flowers on the west of Pung Huey mountain. From June to August there are pink and white flowers blooming. Lung Son view point or 1008 meters peak of Pung Huey mountain is good for overnight camping.
Accommodations and facilities
There are camp grounds and eating facilities in the park. Tents are available for rent.
